“Encouragement”
No matter what you are going through today, no matter how hard it seems, no matter how alone you may feel, Jesus has your back. I know for a fact there is someone out there struggling with an addiction that just can’t seem to shake it. I know there is someone out there dealing with a relationship that there just seems to be no hope. I know there is someone out there struggling with the loss of a loved one. I know there is someone out there worried about a wayward child. I know that there is a dad out there struggling with sex addictions and a mom struggling with pornography. I know that you’re out there. I know that there are teens out there struggling with peer pressure and it is rampant during the summer months because we have a tendency to get bored and when we are bored we do things we wouldn’t normally do. Not only do I know that you’re out there but I AM knows you’re out there as well. I AM wants you to know that if you will go to Him and stay with Him that these worldly things can be handled. Swallow that pride that keeps getting stuck in your throat and ask, seek, and knock. You brothers and sisters in Christ that have overcome your own personal struggles with these things need to encourage those that still struggle. There are 59 places in the NIV Bible that speaks of encouragement most of which are in the New Testament. Here is the first and last place it is used:
Deuteronomy 1:38
But your assistant, Joshua son of Nun, will enter it. Encourage him, because he will lead Israel to inherit it.
Deuteronomy 1:37-39 (in Context) Deuteronomy 1 (Whole Chapter)
Hebrews 12:5
And you have forgotten that word of encouragement that addresses you as sons: “My son, do not make light of the Lord’s discipline, and do not lose heart when he rebukes you,
Hebrews 12:4-6 (in Context) Hebrews 12 (Whole Chapter)
Key Verse:
Romans 15:5
May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you a spirit of unity among yourselves as you follow Christ Jesus,
Romans 15:4-6 (in Context) Romans 15 (Whole Chapter)
