“Stewardship”
Being good stewards in 2009. Budget is in place, new light bulbs in their sockets, car is tuned up, using hand me downs as much as possible for the kids, yep stewardship in place and active. Oh wait a minute, what about me? Am I being a good steward of God’s time? How much of my day am I giving to Him? I know He wants a tithe of my time. Let me think, ok I pray with the kids in the morning, that takes about 5 minutes, and I read for about 5-10 minutes, oh yes and I write a daily journal that takes about 15 minutes. Hmmmm, oh yeah and I pray at lunch and dinner and with the kids at night before bed time not to mention those little prayers as I go throughout the day when I need His help with something. Doesn’t seem like much because it is my routines, I wonder if I could add a little more here or there to make it a tithe. Well I guess it would help if I knew what a tithe of my time is. let’s see there are 24 hours in a day and that would equate to 2 hours and 40 minutes. Wow it seems I may have been short changing God on the time I spend with Him. What about you? How is your time tithe going are you being a good steward?
