“Even In Darkness The Light Dawns”
For those who love God and have accepted His Son for their Salvation will have power over darkness and will not need to fear it. For he who is upright in the eyes of the LORD are a blessing unto Him that is Light and the Light has no fear. When the Light comes the darkness flees for it fears the Light so anyone who is in the Light has no fear of darkness. I think it is human nature to be afraid of the dark unless you have Light in you everything around you is dark. Maybe you don’t see with your eyes the darkness around you but in your heart, unless you have the Light, darkness prevails. Maybe you think you don’t need the Light because you have all the worldly processions you could ever want yet there is an emptiness inside that you cannot fill with worldly things. Only the Son can bring the Light and only the Light can bring the Son. Without One the Other will not be and without the Other the One will not be. You cannot serve two masters and you cannot eat at the table of darkness and Light. You will love one and not the other or despise the other and shun the One. Even in darkness light dawns for the upright, for the gracious and compassionate and righteous man. The only way to have those things is to have a relationship with Jesus Christ. No longer fear darkness, get with the Light and stay in the Light and darkness will no longer have power over your life. Make the Light the center of your life and the darkness can never enter in it will be blocked form even getting close enough to you to cause any harm. Put on your armor each and every day, do not let one go by that you stand naked before the world.
Key Verse:
Psalm 112:4
Even in darkness light dawns for the upright, for the gracious and compassionate and righteous man.
Psalm 112:3-5 (in Context) Psalm 112 (Whole Chapter)

“Criminal”
Yesterday during services at Pipeline, Pastor Mike made a comment that really hit home with me. Sin in the eyes of God is the same punishment for all sin. Basically if you look at it we are all criminals. It’s not like we woke up this morning and went and looked in the mirror and proclaimed it. I mean how many of you when you looked in the mirror this morning, said “Hey, I am a criminal!” Well upon our judgment day we will be judged as criminals. Well I don’t know about you but I wouldn’t want to be in that courtroom alone. In that courtroom your eternity will be decided. You will either be condemned to hell which all of us deserve or you will be allowed into heaven where God wants all of us to go. But sadly many people die without the deal sealed for The Lawyer. I mean you need to get the retainer signed before you take your last breath because at that point you can’t make the deal. I mean come on how many attorneys would take on a case without having signed a deal for payment? On the other hand how many of us regular folks would be willing to go to a criminal trial without proper representation. Someone who has our best interest at heart. When I step into that courtroom I will be prepared. The answer to all the question of my sin will be yes I did it and I have no excuse. Yes I deserve hell because of the sins I have committed against the Most High God. But I know that my Jesus will stand up before the Judge and tell Him that I belong to Him and my sins have already been paid for in full and I will be released into to heaven for eternity, free and perfected through the fire of judgment. I have one question for you, is the retainer for your soul signed and sealed? Have you sought out the only One who can keep you out of the lake of fire? If the answer was no then we need to talk. I guarantee you that the Mays family had no idea their dad was going to die so suddenly. How many moments do you have left before your last breath? You say you don’t know? Well there is One who knows and you better find that relationship with His Son so that your eternal debts will be paid. Here is your opportunity:
Father, in the name of Jesus, I come to you seeking forgiveness of my sins. Lord I know that I have sinned and I confess with my mouth and seek forgiveness. Lord I believe in my heart that Jesus died on the cross at Calvary and that He rose again on the third day to pay the price for my sin. Jesus I ask you into my heart to be my personal Lord and Savior for the rest of my days. I confess that I am born again and cleansed by the Blood of Jesus in Jesus name, Amen
Key Verse:
Romans 10:9
That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
Romans 10:8-10 (in Context) Romans 10 (Whole Chapter)

“My God, My God Why Have You…”
We were discussing Salvation last night at our volunteer meeting with a group of teens and pre teens and the subject came up of why Jesus said those words of why God had forsaken Him. To give you a quick answer because we talked about it for a long time last night, He was leading a worship service. Christ being the Most High Priest on His last day here on Earth was leading worship. You see we have Hymn Books and overhead projectors and mp3 players and radio and Internet so we do not have to memorize things like they had to back in the time of Christ. The way the people at the temple knew what worship song was going to be sung is by the Priest singing the first line of the song and that is what Jesus was doing. The song that was written thousands of years before Him setting foot on the Earth was Psalm 22. Jesus wasn’t crying out because He was forsaken, He was leading a worship service. His time had come to be hung on a tree for our Salvation the perfect sacrifice the once spilt blood sacrifice for all of the sins of the past, present, and future. Have you ever really wondered what it was like for Him? He didn’t just get a beating to where he may have had a few bruises and a black eye and a bloody nose. No He was beaten almost to the point of death and yet He never cried out. He remained silent. If you haven’t seen the Passion of The Christ I challenge you to read the book of Luke and then sit and watch this movie. Millions of people around the world are showing honor to Michael Jackson, on the streets shouting his name and playing his music, a concert in Central Park. Why is it the One who died for Jackson’s sin barely gets a whisper? Why is it so quiet on the days we are to celebrate and honor our Savior? Shouldn’t their be billions pouring out onto the street in honor of our Lord Jesus Christ? Nope, but we flock to the stores to buy candy and gifts. Something to chew on this weekend. Stay tuned God has a message for you.
Key Verse:
Psalm 22:1
[ For the director of music. To the tune of "The Doe of the Morning." A psalm of David. ] My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Why are you so far from saving me, so far from the words of my groaning?
Psalm 22:1-3 (in Context) Psalm 22 (Whole Chapter)

“Great Are His Works!”
Psalm 111:2 Great are the works of the LORD; they are pondered by all who delight in them.
I think that all ponder the works of the LORD even those who do not know and understand Him. They will sit there and try to find an answer of the world to explain things yet they walk away scratching their heads not ever really knowing or understanding the Truth. There are billions of dollars a year spent on trying to bring an explanation to things that just have one explanation, God made it that way, get over it and move on with your life. Now if you took those billions of dollars per year and spent it on educating people on the ways of God we would have heaven on Earth.
Psalm 111
1[a] Praise the LORD. [b]
I will extol the LORD with all my heart
in the council of the upright and in the assembly.
2 Great are the works of the LORD;
they are pondered by all who delight in them.
3 Glorious and majestic are his deeds,
and his righteousness endures forever.
4 He has caused his wonders to be remembered;
the LORD is gracious and compassionate.
5 He provides food for those who fear him;
he remembers his covenant forever.
6 He has shown his people the power of his works,
giving them the lands of other nations.
7 The works of his hands are faithful and just;
all his precepts are trustworthy.
8 They are steadfast for ever and ever,
done in faithfulness and uprightness.
9 He provided redemption for his people;
he ordained his covenant forever—
holy and awesome is his name.
10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom;
all who follow his precepts have good understanding.
To him belongs eternal praise.
Jesus Bless,
Pastor Steve

“2 Corinthians 13”
Paul seemed to have problems with people not believing he was sent by Christ, some keep demanding proof that he is who he says he is. Well by this time I am sure Paul was well established and these people were just like the ones of today always seeing but never perceiving. Paul knew that those people would be shown by God Himself and if that was required they would likely lose their lives and he warned them three times to be careful about what they said about the man of God. I am sure too that this must have been a frustrating thing for Paul to deal with but he knew whom he served and didn’t even worry about it. He continued to pray for those who wanted proof, he didn’t condemn them, he even gave them a way to test themselves rather than continue to disrespect the man of God sent to them.
5Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you—unless, of course, you fail the test? 6And I trust that you will discover that we have not failed the test. 7Now we pray to God that you will not do anything wrong. Not that people will see that we have stood the test but that you will do what is right even though we may seem to have failed. 8For we cannot do anything against the truth, but only for the truth.
If you think that the person who calls him or herself a man or woman of God you have the right to test their spirit. God reveals those wolves in sheep’s clothing yet many will still follow. Those people of God will not call themselves “Christ” for they will know their place is amongst the sinners and not the perfect. Do not sin in the process of testing the spirit of those who call themselves a Sheppard of the flock. Be prayerful about every step you take or you will be the one in trouble.
Key Verse:
2 Corinthians 13:3
since you are demanding proof that Christ is speaking through me. He is not weak in dealing with you, but is powerful among you.
2 Corinthians 13:2-4 (in Context) 2 Corinthians 13 (Whole Chapter)
