“Where Did The Seed Fall?”

I scatter seed by the truckload and much of it ends up on the pavement below to feed the birds.  I scatter seed by the truckload and some lands in the gravel and tries to take root but when the heat of the day is upon us it is scorched and withers.  I scatter seed by the truckload and some of it lands among the thorns and as it grows is choked out by these thorns.  I scatter seed by the truckload and some lands in good soil and it takes root and it multiplies beyond my wildest expectations.  Praise God that He takes this seed and produces more than what is sown.  I scatter seed by the truckload and God makes it into a nation.  Oh I could plant a few seeds and watch God produce much fruit with it and there is nothing wrong with that because that is what He has asked us all to do.  But God has entrusted me with a lot so in that I must continue to scatter by what He gives me.  If He gives me a truckload of seed I scatter a truckload of seed.  If He gives me a thimble of seed I scatter a thimble of seed.  I could take the truckload of seed and scatter some and keep the rest for myself but then what will happen?  God gave me the seed to scatter so that it will produce fruit for Him.  Are you going to keep that for yourself?  Is that obedience to Him?  Your truckload will become a single seed and what are the chances of that seed hitting good soil?  I’m no mathematician but I think 1 in 4 billion.  God has blessed you with His Word.  It is not meant to keep but to share with all His people.  So open your mouth and allow the Waters of Life to flow and scatter the seed that He gave you to scatter on the ground.  If He gives you 4 seeds to scatter at least 1 will fall on good soil and produce much fruit for Him.  Do not keep a single seed for yourself so that God may bless you with truckloads.
