“No Waffles”
I am convinced that there are no good places in San Diego to get a waffle that doesn’t cost $15.00. The hotel serves eggs from cartons that should be holding milk, and sausages that look like swollen fingers. I will be looking forward to getting back to Texas if for no other reason than to get a “real” breakfast. The oatmeal aint bad and the coffee isn’t too bad but DANG people you need a Waffle House in San Diego! I think Arnold has something to do with this anyone got the number to the governors’ house? I mean come on Arnold if you want me to “Be Back” get me a Waffle House! Don’t get me wrong the place is beautiful and the Old Town was really neat and the transit system is good, a little weird because nobody really checks to see if you have purchased a ticket but good none the less. Lot’s of conventions going on this week too. There is an IRS convention of some sort going on here at this hotel. Oh man God put me in the midst of a thousand tax collectors! Not only that they ALL want dinner at 6:00pm so ALL the restaurants are packed with old tax collectors and they ALL want breakfast at 6:30 AM so I have to go for breakfast by six or all the coffee will be gone LOL. I have a question for you in all of this crazy talk. Do you see this in the church today? Oh, they are beautiful on the outside but when you get inside they do the same old thing at the exact same time and it never changes. Are we humans stuck in a rut like that for real? Do we worship the same old way and sing the same old songs over and over again and again? Gee whiz folks build a Waffle House in your town and have a waffle and coffee on occasion. You don’t have to use syrup unless you really want to sweeten things up a bit and on those cold mornings use hot syrup and don’t forget the butter. It’s ok to have sausage or bacon and sometimes you can have ham and even the ham you can have choices, like city ham or country ham. Want toast with that, well what kind of toast? Even with all these choices we can make they all lead down one path. Let’s all have waffles! No not really just kidding. It should be the same way with Church we all have a variety of things going on but they should all lead to the One Path the One Place but unfortunately many of them lead to the wide path that leads straight to hell. Come to the Waffle House with me! Oh wait I mean follow the path of Jesus with me and we will all stop and have waffles LOL. I looked up waffle in the Bible and it doesn’t exist but I looked up path and there are 104 passages and then I looked up road and found 112 passages. Below is one of my favs.
