The Miracles of Jesus Part 5 of 35
“A Sick Woman is Healed”

Mark 5:25-34 (New International Version)
A large crowd followed and pressed around him. 25And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years. 26She had suffered a great deal under the care of many doctors and had spent all she had, yet instead of getting better she grew worse. 27When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak, 28because she thought, “If I just touch his clothes, I will be healed.” 29Immediately her bleeding stopped and she felt in her body that she was freed from her suffering.
30At once Jesus realized that power had gone out from him. He turned around in the crowd and asked, “Who touched my clothes?”
31“You see the people crowding against you,” his disciples answered, “and yet you can ask, ‘Who touched me?’ ”
32But Jesus kept looking around to see who had done it. 33Then the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell at his feet and, trembling with fear, told him the whole truth. 34He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.”
This woman knew in her heart that Jesus could heal her. Just by touching his clothes was enough in her mind. I tell you that just being in the presence of Jesus Christ and having the faith that He will heal you is enough to be healed. This woman went to doctor after doctor and spent all her money on a healing from men and men couldn’t heal her. “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.” In the Bible there are many places that Jesus told the person that was healed that it is their faith that heals them. Jesus tells us that the faith of a mustard seed can move mountains. I am not saying fire your doctors because God uses them too. I am saying put your faith into the hands of Christ for that healing and the medicine the doctor gives is that much more affective in your healing process. Oh don’t get me wrong on that account either because when Jesus sets you free you are free indeed. Ask for the touch of Christ and He does heal instantaneously from any bondage you may be in but don’t get mad at Him when it doesn’t happen because His plan is not our plan and His ways are not our ways. His love is beyond us and all we can do is strive to love as He loves. You can read about His love in 1 Corinthians 13. Just know that you are loved.
