250 Events In The Life Of Christ/ A Harmony Of The Gospels Part 206

Section 2: Message And Ministry Of Jesus

Jesus Tells About The Final Judgment”

Matthew 25:31-46

31 “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. 32 All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.

34 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’

40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’

44 “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’

45 “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’

46 “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.”

Baaaa Baaaa Baaaa! For when you see someone hungry feed them and when someone is thirsty give them drink and when someone is naked clothe them. Not just in the physical but in the spiritual as well. Many come to you hungry for the Word yet you send them away empty and so many come to you from the world thirsting for Truth and you send them away thirsty and some come naked and raw yet you do not cover them. REPENT and take care of those to whom the Lord has brought you. You can’t have Salvation in Christ and not share it for that isn’t salvation at all. For Salvation is a heart renewal and your life is for the work of Christ and no longer of your own or of the world. Christ alone gives and takes and by His hand shall you feed the hungry and give drink to the thirsty and clothe the naked.

We will begin section 3 next week on the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Peace and Agape love,

Pastor Steve

250 Events In The Life Of Christ/ A Harmony Of The Gospels Part 187

Section 2: Message And Ministry Of Jesus

“Jesus Summarizes His Message”

John 12:44-50

44 Then Jesus cried out, “Whoever believes in me does not believe in me only, but in the one who sent me. 45 The one who looks at me is seeing the one who sent me. 46 I have come into the world as a light, so that no one who believes in me should stay in darkness.

47 “If anyone hears my words but does not keep them, I do not judge that person. For I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world. 48 There is a judge for the one who rejects me and does not accept my words; the very words I have spoken will condemn them at the last day. 49 For I did not speak on my own, but the Father who sent me commanded me to say all that I have spoken. 50 I know that his command leads to eternal life. So whatever I say is just what the Father has told me to say.”

By these words we do not need to judge others for they judge themselves with their actions.  How they speak and how they live their lives speaks volumes and we need not say a word for The Word has judged them completely.  We need to judge ourselves for how we choose to live our lives that on the day of judgment we can come in with clean conscience knowing we have loved Christ and His plan for our lives will be fulfilled and we will have a genuine joy free of guilt.  Now that’s something for you to chew on this weekend!

Peace and Agape Love,

Pastor Steve

250 Events In The Life Of Christ/ A Harmony Of The Gospels Part 127

Section 2: Message And Ministry Of Jesus

“Jesus Warns Of Coming Judgment”

John 8:21-30

21 Once more Jesus said to them, “I am going away, and you will look for me, and you will die in your sin. Where I go, you cannot come.”

22 This made the Jews ask, “Will he kill himself? Is that why he says, ‘Where I go, you cannot come’?”

23 But he continued, “You are from below; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world. 24 I told you that you would die in your sins; if you do not believe that I am he, you will indeed die in your sins.”

25 “Who are you?” they asked.

“Just what I have been telling you from the beginning,” Jesus replied. 26 “I have much to say in judgment of you. But he who sent me is trustworthy, and what I have heard from him I tell the world.”

27 They did not understand that he was telling them about his Father. 28 So Jesus said, “When you have lifted up[a] the Son of Man, then you will know that I am he and that I do nothing on my own but speak just what the Father has taught me. 29 The one who sent me is with me; he has not left me alone, for I always do what pleases him.” 30 Even as he spoke, many believed in him.

Jesus once again proves He is who He says He is.  I have lost track of how many times He has proven Himself to be God in the flesh.  Those engraved invitations have gone out again.  Are you of this world?  I do not want to be of the world.  We may be in this world and have to live here for a short period but to be of the world is to not be of Christ.  The world is here and we must live in it but it doesn’t mean we take in of the worldly things that man has made with his hands because we are to be of Christ we shun the things of this world because we know it isn’t forever.  Eternity is a long time and these things we see, smell, touch, are only temporary in the big scheme of things.  Live your life for Christ for our time here is a mere blink of an eye in time.  Something to PRaP today, am I of this world or in this world?

Pastor Steve

“Justice” Part 7 of 7

Justice comes when those in Christ who have been persecuted, struggling, forgotten, and left behind are lead out of their poverty and their persecution, no longer struggling and recognized by those who had forgotten them.  Their Hope is in Christ and their victory is assured.  Justice comes when a stranger to one who follows Christ and speaks Christ but doesn’t think anyone is really listening acknowledges Christ.  Justice comes when you take your last breath and you are standing in front of the One you have been serving faithfully for so many years.  We live in an unjust world, a world that is not fair, a world that will stomp on you rather than pick you up.  One day Justice will come and when He does…  Will you be ready?  When Justice comes to repay the unjust and the ones who have hurt His little ones will you be in the crosshairs of His wrath?  When Justice comes will He embrace you for your servanthood to Him?  When Justice comes will you have a witness?  When Justice comes will you be at His right hand or his left?  When Justice comes will you tremble in fear or dance with joy?  Will the tears running down your face be of joy or sorrow?  When Justice comes will you be able to stand knowing you have succeeded or will you fall to your face knowing you have failed?  One day Justice will be here and the only way to the Judge is through Justice that we should be serving.

Heavenly:………………………………………………………………..

Father, I believe that Jesus rose from the dead and I ask you right now to come in to my life and be my personal Lord and

Savior. I repent of my Sins and will Worship you all the

day’s of my Life!. Because your word is truth, I confess

with my mouth that I am Born Again and Cleansed

by the Blood of Jesus!   In Jesus Name, Amen.

If you said that prayer with an open heart you will one day see Justice and you will be victorious in your trials of life.  Because as you seek Justice and you speak Justice, Justice will seek you and speak of you to the Judge because the only way to the Judge is through Justice.

Isaiah 45:22-24

22 “Turn to me and be saved, all you ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is no other. 23 By myself I have sworn, my mouth has uttered in all integrity a word that will not be revoked:  Before me every knee will bow; by me every tongue will swear. 24 They will say of me, ‘In the LORD alone are righteousness and strength.’ ”  All who have raged against him will come to him and be put to shame.

Romans 14:11
It is written: ” ‘As surely as I live,’ says the Lord, ‘every knee will bow before me; every tongue will confess to God.’ ”
Romans 14:10-12 (in Context) Romans 14 (Whole Chapter)

“When in Battle”

When in battle you need a plan, a strategy.  First you must prepare and in doing so making sure that this battle is handed over to the Lord.  Prayer obviously is the first thing that needs to be done and not only once but throughout the battle because you always need a clear line to the Leader of your battle.  Once you have that clear line of communication the battle line will be drawn and you will have to prepare your army for battle and they must be the ones on their knees with you before during and after it’s all over and the outcome is revealed.  We will not defeat our enemy with weapons of destruction but with a heart for the enemy.  Praying for them in intercessory prayer for their salvation through Jesus Christ.  Pray for the D.A. and the A.D.A. here in this city that oversees the Juvenile justice system here in Houston and throughout the world.  Pray that they may see that not every case that comes across their desk is a threat to society.  Pray that they may take the time to visit with the kids and their families before passing judgment and condemnation on a child of God.  In America you are supposed to be innocent until proven guilty but in the Juvenile Justice system you are guilty period.  There is no jury trial there is no gathering of peers and family to find the truth there is just he said she said and then they pass judgment and sentence the child.  The law says that any child from age 10-16 that makes a mistake is guilty and will serve sentence of no less than six months probation where families loose all privacy and the children are submitted to a barrage of psychologist, physiatrists, lawyers, counselors, therapists, probation officer, and a judge.  Now this is overwhelming for an adult so you can imagine what it can do to a child.  I am not saying this is a bad thing in all cases but a screening needs to take place before they submit families to this kind of social abuse.  Parents do not allow your children to role play, do not allow them to take anything to school that could be considered a weapon be it a toy or not.  Tell you children to never ever use words when they are playing that could be considered a threat even if the children are playing a game.  Your child could be arrested for a terrorist threat.  No matter what your beliefs, no matter the color of your skin, they will take your child.  Give praise honor and glory to God for your trials and pray for those who are your adversary that they may find the truth through prayer and intercession.  May God be with those who have to go down this road and may they be strong in Christ Jesus.  If you turn to the last page, WE WIN!!!

“Criminal”

Yesterday during services at Pipeline, Pastor Mike made a comment that really hit home with me.  Sin in the eyes of God is the same punishment for all sin.  Basically if you look at it we are all criminals.  It’s not like we woke up this morning and went and looked in the mirror and proclaimed it.  I mean how many of you when you looked in the mirror this morning, said “Hey, I am a criminal!”  Well upon our judgment day we will be judged as criminals.  Well I don’t know about you but I wouldn’t want to be in that courtroom alone.  In that courtroom your eternity will be decided.  You will either be condemned to hell which all of us deserve or you will be allowed into heaven where God wants all of us to go.  But sadly many people die without the deal sealed for The Lawyer.  I mean you need to get the retainer signed before you take your last breath because at that point you can’t make the deal.  I mean come on how many attorneys would take on a case without having signed a deal for payment?  On the other hand how many of us regular folks would be willing to go to a criminal trial without proper representation.  Someone who has our best interest at heart.  When I step into that courtroom I will be prepared.  The answer to all the question of my sin will be yes I did it and I have no excuse.  Yes I deserve hell because of the sins I have committed against the Most High God.  But I know that my Jesus will stand up before the Judge and tell Him that I belong to Him and my sins have already been paid for in full and I will be released into to heaven for eternity, free and perfected through the fire of judgment.  I have one question for you, is the retainer for your soul signed and sealed?  Have you sought out the only One who can keep you out of the lake of fire?  If the answer was no then we need to talk.  I guarantee you that the Mays family had no idea their dad was going to die so suddenly.  How many moments do you have left before your last breath?  You say you don’t know?  Well there is One who knows and you better find that relationship with His Son so that your eternal debts will be paid.  Here is your opportunity:

Father, in the name of Jesus, I come to you seeking forgiveness of my sins.  Lord I know that I have sinned and I confess with my mouth and seek forgiveness.  Lord I believe in my heart that Jesus died on the cross at Calvary and that He rose again on the third day to pay the price for my sin.  Jesus I ask you into my heart to be my personal Lord and Savior for the rest of my days.  I confess that I am born again and cleansed by the Blood of Jesus in Jesus name, Amen

Romans 10

Key Verse:

Romans 10:9
That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
Romans 10:8-10 (in Context) Romans 10 (Whole Chapter)

Jesus Bless,
